Hi Chops et al,

I'm wondering if any more progress has been made on this front. Our guild is in the process of moving from vent to mumble and the viewer would be nice to have.

Sabrenix/Mumbledog supports fetching channel and user data via Mumble's very own supported standard, the Channel Viewer Protocol ( http://mumble.sourceforge.net/Channel_Viewer_Protocol ). There are no keys or passwords required; the data is returned in a fairly simple format. You can see an example:

http://dallas.mumble.sabrienix.com/mumble.php?port=34861

After some further hacking, I did manage to get a basic viewer up via javascript, but it's going to take some refinement to 'pretty up.'

WRT the interest in a dkpsystem hosted mumble server... Sure, as long as it is reliable. We're dumping vent because we constantly had to figure out who had a server we could use as a backup when ours went down on Branzone.

Thanks.

Have yall updated the forums to have Mumble ready? IM on the verge of getting Mumble and was wondering how i can get it to show on the site like vent/TS does?
It's not ready yet, but it's still on the table.

I'll look into that viewer, and see what can be done to accommodate that.

Checking in to see the status of a mumble viewer. Our guild just switched to Mumble and we too would like to have the status view on our website.

Thanks!
We just switched to Mumble. Any progress on this viewer?

Thanks Chops

If you are now good with code you can go with MMO-Mumble. They have a cut and paste viewer.

Chops, what's the status of Mumble? Any chance of us getting a server status any time soon?

Checking in on the Mumble status as well.

Definitely this month.

I've declared February to be a "No videogames month" for me to get things done

I'm so sorry! I hacked one together myself using a script provided by my host. It's ugly, but it works.

So I was a couple of days late with this, but Mumble Server Status has been added. It's contingent on your mumble host supporting the JSON encoded Channel Viewer Protocol (CVP), which is an increasingly common method of supporting.

You'll need to get this URL from your vent host. I know for fact that MMO-mumble.com supports it, and I'm pretty sure mumble.com supports it as well.
