GRSS issue - player is out of range

The most recent example of this is Naxx, when you clear a wing people can port back to the beginning while I do ML bidding.

They can still receive the item fine, but grss doesn't record this because they are out of range.

Is there a command I can type in game to make the Loot box pop up so I can enter who got what and for how much?
No, but that's a neat idea, and something I can have queued. Unfortunately, right now, the loot recording is based entirely on the combat log.

yeah I figured it was based off the combat log that's why it didn't pop up.

but I guess what I'm looking for as a future feature is just the ability to pop up a empty box where I could type in item name (or link) player name and value for the snapshot upload later that night.

If you don't mind queuing that it'd be great

thx
I know chops have been working on a feature like that, at least for ingame dkp ajustments, for some time - maybe he can tweak this to meet ur demands as well.

See ticket: http://www.dkpsystem.com/ticket.php?ticketid=16

Btw any eta on this feature chops ?
Bump. We ran into this issue last night during Naxx (if bidding goes on a long time on one boss, some people start clearing the trash going forward while I stay behind to dist loot). I didn't realize til after a few bosses that some of the items hadn't recorded. It was a huge pain.
The way my guild gets around it is by reminding people (strictly) not to take the portal back if they are bidding on loot. And then I keep pen and paper beside the computer to write down the loot, person and dkp spent and then update the item manually later.

But yes, it is a pain, and it would be nice to have a fix for the issue, but I've been dealing with range issues for such a long time I suppose I'm just used to it now. Heh.

A fix is in the works and will be deployed with the next version of the GRSS. In particular, manual entry of items is being added (typing /grss loot or /grss item will bring up the "Enter Item Received" box).
