Hi,

I'm pretty new to DKPSystem and I'm still trying to understand all the admin options.

Under the News option in the Admin section there is a option called

Thread Tag to use for News Posts

You can then select the any of the available Forum Threads, but it doesn't seem to do anything. Is there any purpose to that option ?

I was thinking that perhaps it would place Items from the forum under that tag on the front page, but this does not seem to be the case.

It is for storing responses to news. You never used to be able to comment on a news item. Lets say you have a thread tag called News and that is where you have the news posts pointed. You go into in Kara for the first time and get all the way to Maiden so you post it an some images. Guild members seeing this can then respond and that is where the posts would show up in the forums and I believe once a comment has been added a link appears on the news post to view the comments which jumps you to the forum post for that news item.
