Okay, I'm a total noob, and can't find the answer to this question.... I've downloaded the guildraid snapshot mod thing about 3,000 times, and can't get it sorted out. Am I supposed to add it to my addons folder first? (I tried it) If so, it does not show as an addon for my toons.
When I did the 'getgrssdkp' thing that asks what my guild url is, it looks like it is 'working'...and yet.... when I go to find the lua in my file, I cannot find it. I've tried it while logged into WoW and while not logged in, as well.
I wish there was a better description for what I'm supposed to do with the mod.... Can anyone help a sister out?

Have you installed mods before? It's done exactly the same way.

You must extract the Mod to the WoW\Interface\Addons folder, which will create a GuildRaidSnapShot folder there.

The lua file won't be there until the mod is installed properly, even after running the GetGRSSDKP.exe program.

Also note, mods must be installed when WoW is closed.

I don't know what was different this time, but for some reason, it actually went into my addons folder correctly this time.

I have installed hundreds of mods. I know how to put them in the right way and i looked at what you wrote here, however, this folder goes into my addons folder and it never shows up on my char screen with the other addons. I logged/x'd out of wow and did it and seems to be gtg, then i log onto wow and my addon screen and nothing.


EDIT- when it goes into my addons folder it is either on the top or on the bottom, making me assum its reading it incorrectly or somthing. Have tried extracting it to desk top then dragging to addons, also extracted it directly to addons folder. Have tried all avenues i can think of atm. thanks in advance for your help

First off i am sure Chops does have some form of a life outside of reading these forums.

Secondly, you come back with a snotty brat attitude 2 whole hours after your initial post.

Given how little we pay for this service and the exceptional support given (anything less than 2-3 days to me is FAST in this industry) one would thikn you would give somoene more than 2 hours to respond. Perhaps he went out to eat with his wife, went to the movies, took a nap... was working on the latest new feature in the 30 day rollout, etc.

I would also like to add that he had already solved the original poster's problem. Most support people will generally look at newer posts rather than ones they already know they have solved. Next time, try putting in a trouble ticket.
