Ha! I'd be happy to show you some tricks.

The main thing to consider is how elaborate of a layout you want to do. If you want something simple, deploy one of the drop-in templates and tweak the CSS to get what you want. You can download the templates to change the files and then change the locations in the CSS to point to your changed files (which should be uploaded to the Admin File Uploader).

The more elaborate stuff will require getting comfortable with HTML, and the REALLY fun stuff will require getting comfortable with javascript.
