Is it possible to have custom backgrounds in individual forum posts?

If so, can anyone offer some help on how to do this?

If not, would it be possible to implement this capability into the website?

Thanks in advance for any help!

An example: This post has white text on a very dark woody background, and let's say I would have liked to have had a different solid color or a different background tile.

Sure, you can change the forum post colors. It's in the CSS (Admin > Layout > CSS Editor). Just look for the .PostText and .PostInfo rules in the CSS, and you can change the background configuration there.

Keep in mind, though, that that configuration gets overwritten by any color configuration in the Ranks section.
