Is there a way to integrate a Web Browser on to our sites. For example, like using the Frame option in the menu layout admin section, and having a Search option installed on the site somewhere.
That way if someone wants to look something up on the web, you would be able to use the site and have it appear in the Frame format.
I can't think of a way to make it search within a frame from a different page. It's trivial to add a search to the page to have it redirect to the search engine, but to load it in a frame where a frame otherwise doesn't exist? I can see it being possible with javascript, but that would be an odd solution, and likely not exactly what you're looking for.
I'd recommend just having it redirect to the search engine from the search field.
