I just recently received what is unquestionably a phishing attempt, claiming to have awarded me a spot in the closed beta of the coming WotLK Expansion to WoW.
If you receive it, notice that while the link says "http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/betawotlk/id=31353" , if you hover over the link, you'll see it's taking you to a different address at wrathofthelichking.awardspace.com. I've contacted the abuse dept of awardspace notifying them of this hosted phishing attack, and hopefully they respond quickly.
That said, if you receive a notification that you've been accepted to the WotLK beta, don't follow the link in the email.
Tell your guildmates before they accidentally fill it out thinking they're getting in the beta and then get all their gear cleaned out and their accounts stolen.
