What is DKP?

DKP Stands for "Dragon Kill Points" and is essentially a way of determining how to hand out loot for boss kills in MMO games. The term originated in EQ from Thott in guild Afterlife (This is the same Thott that started Thottbot). A DKP System is merely the system of recording point earned for guild-related events, and points spent on loot.
